Import · sync · copy

Your platform, your journal

Propbook reads the exports you already have. Six platforms with their own page, automatic format detection for the big ones, and a generic reader for everything else.

How the import works

  1. Export a trade report from your platform, for any period.
  2. Drop the file into Journal → Import, or paste the rows.
  3. Propbook names the format, finds the date and realised P&L columns and shows you the days it found.
  4. You confirm the account and import. Existing days are replaced, never duplicated.

Dedicated detection covers TopstepX and ProjectX, Tradovate, NinjaTrader, MetaTrader 4 and 5, Interactive Brokers activity statements and Flex queries, and Binance trade and ledger exports. Anything else falls back to a reader that scores each column to find the real date and the real result — skipping cumulative, balance and equity columns so nothing is counted twice.

Two live connections, both optional

MetaTrader 5 sync

A free expert advisor sends every closed trade to your journal. It never places, modifies or closes an order.

PropSync

One lead account, every follower mirroring it with its own multiplier and its own drawdown guard. Dry-run by default.

Your history, on the rules that matter

Import once and every day sits against your firm's drawdown, daily loss, target and consistency. Free, no card.

FAQ

Which platforms can I import from?

TopstepX and ProjectX, Tradovate, NinjaTrader, MetaTrader 4 and 5, Interactive Brokers and Binance have dedicated format detection. Anything else that exports a CSV with a date and a realised P&L column works through the generic reader.

Does Propbook connect to my broker?

Only if you ask it to. The journal works from files you export. The two live connections — the MetaTrader 5 expert advisor and PropSync — is opt-in and set up by you.

Is importing free?

Yes. CSV import, rule tracking, alerts and analytics are in the free plan, with no card and no account limit.

Will an import overwrite my journal?

An imported day replaces that same day rather than adding to it, so re-importing a longer export is safe. The preview always shows what will change before anything is saved.
