How to pass CTI

A plan built on CTI's own rules. The numbers below use the City Traders Imperium 50K account.

  1. 1

Know the line you can't cross

CTI uses a fixed max loss: the line stays where it started, so your room only grows as you make money. On the City Traders Imperium 50K account you have $5,000 of room before a breach.

  2. 2

Size every trade from the room, not the account

Risk a slice of your drawdown, not of the account size. With $5,000 of room, risking $500 per trade gives you about 10 losing trades in a row before a breach.

  3. 3

    Respect the daily loss

Your daily loss limit is $2,500. Stop for the day at half of it — $1,250 — and you will never meet the hard limit on a bad day.

  4. 4

    Aim for the target slowly

The target is $5,000. At $1,000 a day you get there in about 5 winning days, with no single day doing all the work.

  5. 5

Learn one model, and journal it

Pick one setup from the ICT path, trade only that, and log every trade. Propbook tracks CTI's rules on each one.
