Privacy Policy

Propbook is built to be privacy-friendly. Here's exactly what we collect, why, and what we never do.

What we collect

• Your email — only if you create an account, to sign you in, sync your data and send account emails.
• Your journal data — the accounts, trades, P&L, tags, notes and screenshots you enter or import yourself.
• Your sign-up answers — optional: trading experience, what you trade with and how you heard about Propbook. Used to set the app up for you and to understand which channels bring new traders. You can skip them or change them in Settings.
• Product usage events — a short list of anonymous events such as “opened the app”, “created an account”, “added a first account” or “imported a file”, tied to a random identifier stored in your browser. They never contain trades, P&L or account numbers, and are only visible to the Propbook team. You can turn them off anytime in Settings → Your data or with the “Usage statistics” link at the bottom of our home page, and nothing is collected if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal. No cookies are used for this.
• Optional feedback — the message (and email, if you add one) you send via the feedback button.

No advertising trackers, no advertising profiles, no selling your data — ever.

Where it's stored

If you have an account, your data is stored in our database (Supabase, with row-level access rules) so it syncs across your devices. In guest mode, your journal stays only in your browser (localStorage) and is never uploaded; only the anonymous usage events above are sent.

Emails

We send account emails (confirmation, password reset) and, at most, a welcome email and one reminder if you haven't added an account yet. They are delivered by Brevo. Every non-essential email has a one-click unsubscribe link.

Telegram alerts

If you connect the official Propbook bot, we store your Telegram chat ID to send your alerts and recaps. If you use your own bot instead, you provide its token. Propbook only sends messages — it never reads your Telegram chats. Send /stop to the bot or click Disconnect in Settings to unlink.

Broker connections & PropSync

If you connect a broker platform (for example TopstepX / ProjectX), your API key is encrypted on our server (AES-256) and used only to read your accounts and positions and to place the orders you configured in PropSync. We keep a log of every order PropSync sends or simulates so you can check what happened. Your TradingView webhook link is private to you. You can disconnect at any time.

Public profiles

If you choose to publish a public profile, only the anonymized stats you opt to share are made public (percentages, win rate, profit factor). No account numbers and no dollar amounts are ever published.

Service providers

Supabase (database & authentication), Vercel (hosting and server functions), Brevo (emails), Telegram (alerts, if you connect it). Fonts load from Google Fonts and firm and broker logos from Google's public favicon service. When paid plans open, payments will be handled by Stripe — we never see your card details.

Your rights

You can export or erase your journal anytime from Settings. Deleting your account removes your journal, sign-up answers, broker connection, PropSync setup and Telegram link. You can also ask us to access, correct or delete any other data about you, or object to the usage events, by email at propbookinc@gmail.com or through the in-app feedback button — we answer within 30 days. If you're in the EU, you may also contact your data protection authority (in France, the CNIL).
