Getting your Tradovate trades in

  1. In Tradovate, open the performance or orders/fills report and set the date range you want.
  2. Export it to CSV — the file that carries a P&L column per position is the one you want.
  3. In Propbook, go to Journal → Import and drop the file in.
  4. Confirm the preview — format, number of days, total P&L — then choose the account.
  5. Import. Each day lands in the journal and the account's rule tracking updates with it.

What Propbook reads from the file

Propbook readsColumns it looks for
The day of the tradesoldTimestamp boughtTimestamp Timestamp
Realised P&Lpnl netPnl P/L
The contract and sizeSymbol Qty

Detection is automatic — you drop the file in and Propbook names the format back to you. If a column is missing or oddly named, it falls back to picking the date and P&L columns itself, and you can correct the mapping before anything is saved.

Several prop accounts on one platform

Tradovate is the execution platform behind a long list of futures prop firms, which is exactly why traders end up with four accounts and one confused spreadsheet. In Propbook each account keeps its own firm rules, its own drawdown mechanic and its own remaining room, even when the fills come from the same platform.

If you copy one account to the others, PropSync applies a drawdown guard per follower — the same two contracts can be routine on one account and a breach on another.

Why a prop trader needs more than the platform's own report

Tradovate's report shows P&L per position. Your firm's rule is measured on something else entirely — the closing balance, or the intraday high, against a line that moves. Those two views have to sit next to each other or you are trading half blind.

🛡️ Rule tracking

Trailing drawdown, daily loss, target and consistency — live, per account, with 19 firm presets.

🔔 Breach alerts

A free Telegram ping before you cross a limit, not a post-mortem after it.

💰 Payout readiness

Buffer, qualifying days and consistency share in one place, so you know when to ask.

📊 Your real edge

Fees and resets counted against payouts received — the number platform reports never show.

Tradovate — FAQ

Which Tradovate export should I use?

Any export that carries a realised P&L column and a timestamp. Propbook detects the Tradovate layout from its column names and shows you what it found before saving.

Does it import individual fills or days?

It groups everything into trading days, which is what prop firm rules are measured on. You can add trade-level detail by hand where it matters.

My Tradovate account is with a prop firm — which rules apply?

The firm's, not the platform's. Pick your firm's preset when creating the account and the drawdown type, daily limit and target fill themselves in.

Is Propbook affiliated with Tradovate?

No. Propbook is independent and reads a file you export yourself.
