Log a trade from a TradingView screenshot

The chart you already took is enough. Drop it, check the fields, save.

Guides › Log a trade from a screenshot

What it reads

Three steps

Why you type the risk

A position tool's dollar amounts come from TradingView's own sizing settings, not from your account. So Propbook takes the levels and the R:R from the chart, and the money from you — which keeps the P&L honest.

Private by design

The screenshot is read in your browser, on your device. The image is never uploaded to read it, and Pip, the AI coach, never sees it.

Tips for a clean read

Then the rules update

Saving the trade recalculates the account's drawdown room, daily-loss room, target and consistency. Log the same trade to several accounts at once if you copied it. More in every journal feature.

Try it with a chart you already have

FAQ

Is my screenshot uploaded anywhere?

No. It is read on your device, in the browser. The image is never uploaded to read it.

Which charts work?

TradingView charts with the Long/Short position tool and visible price labels, and positions or trade-history panels.

Why doesn't it fill the P&L from a position tool?

The dollar amounts on a position tool come from TradingView's sizing settings, not your account. You type your risk and the P&L follows from the prices.

Is it free?

Yes — logging, screenshots and the rule tracking are part of the free journal.
